| Busy Bee Moving Company Saint Louis Moving Missouri and Illinois Damage Claim Policy and Protection Terms DAMAGE CLAIM DOCUMENTATION : Customer must document all claims of damage or loss on the work-order before Busy Bee Moving Company employees leave. Customer agrees to send photo(s) of damaged piece upon request. Claims for damage or loss will be addressed after full payment has been made. DAMAGE CLAIM REPAIR / COMPENSATION : Busy Bee Moving Company agrees to perform or arrange for reasonable repair or reimbursement to customer in the event that damage resulted from the mishandling or negligence on the part of a Busy Bee Moving Company employee. Busy Bee Moving Company will, at its discretion, either repair the item, or compensate Customer by paying the fair market value of the item as determined by EmailApprasials.com, taking into account depreciation for age and condition of any item. REPAIRS : Customer agrees that all claims must be settled through Busy Bee Moving Company. If Customer chooses to submit claims to a private insurance provider and/or hires the service of a private repairman. Busy Bee Moving Company will not reimburse customers cost. ARBITRATION : If Customer and Busy Bee Moving Company cannot agree on the amount of loss and/or damage to goods when a timely claim has been submitted, the parties hereby agree to submit all disputed claims for loss and/or damage to binding arbitration. The arbitrator will be mutually agree upon by the parties and will determine compensable losses and/or damages, if any The parties agree equally spilt the costs of arbitration. DELIVERY TO SELF-STORAGE GARAGES OR RENTAL TRUCKS : Busy Bee Moving Company agrees to load or unload household goods into a self-storage facility, a basement, garage or rental truck, as requested. Customer agrees that all claims of loss or damage will be documented when items are being loaded or unloaded, and only while a Busy Bee Moving Company employee is present. In the case of household goods, that are being loaded into a self-storage unit or rental truck, Customer agrees to supply moving pads as needed. Moving pads will not be furnished by Busy Bee Moving Company for the purpose of storage or loaded rental trucks. CARTONS PACKED BY OWNER : Customer agrees that Busy Bee Moving Company employees are not responsible for contents of boxes that are packed by the customer, unless there is clear evidence of mishandling by a Busy Bee Moving Company employee. PAIRS AND SETS : If one item is damaged or misplaced during your moving service, and the item is part of a set. Busy Bee Moving Company will only be responsible (repair or compensation) for item damaged or misplaced. Busy Bee Moving Company will not be responsible for the entire pair or set of items. PARTICLE BOARD : Particle board, pressed wood and other man made wood substitutes are excluded from Busy Bee Moving Company guarantee against damage. Busy Bee Moving Company does not compensate for damage to this type of furniture. Said items are not made to be unassembled or transported assembled. CARPET PROTECTION : Busy Bee Moving Company agrees to provide the labor to apply “CARPET SHIELD” if Customer supplies this material, purchased at hardware store or purchases the material from the Busy Bee Moving Company ($25 per roll). Busy Bee Moving Company will not be responsible for claims of damage to carpeted areas when Customer has not provided or purchased this material. 3RD PARTY MOVERS: Friends or family of customer that help in the loading/unloading of the truck can greatly reduce the amount of time and money of your move. However customer agrees that the Busy Bee Moving Company will not be liable for claims of damage to either origin or destination residences or personal goods if items were handled by a non-Busy Bee Company employee. Or outside deliveries that occur during the move. |
